What would you think if I told you that Hermès and Comme des Garçons are going to create a capsule collection?
Am I getting crazy? Not yet, it's real and extremely interesting!
Bali Barret, the creative director in charge of the female world at Hermès, has invited Rei Kawakubo to collaborate with the French fashion maison for two capsule collection of scarves.
The union between the two universes, will be called "Comme des Carrés" and will be released in February 2013 in two stages: first in the Comme stores in Paris, New York and Tokyo, then in Dover Street Market (the selected shop of Comme des Garçons) in London.
"I've always had a great respect for tradition and for the traditional know-how of Hermès," said the Japanese designer. "As part of this joint project, instead of being guided by the idea of the “standard”scarf, I am quite interested in the beautiful tableaux that represent the designs of the Hermès square, and I tried to edit them by adding elements. Combining them in abstract images, we have created unique pieces "continued the 70-years-old fashion icon.
To understand concretely how the designer has interpreted the squares of Hermès, you have to wait until February, but I think it is worth it!

No no è tutto reale ed estremamente interessante!
