GOODBYE RALPH LAUREN RUGBY

A very very sad news today: Ralph Lauren Rugby will be closed!

I can’t believe, this is one of my favourite RL line, I always go to shopping to its amazing store near Union Square in NY.

All 14 stores and the e-commerce site will cease to exist as of February 2013. The news was reported within a report WWD issued some days ago:

""The company said Friday that after the second quarter ended, the firm approved a plan to discontinue its Rugby brand operations "in order to focus resources on higher growth, more scalable global opportunities with the core Ralph Lauren brand."The company will close 14 stores and the e-commerce Web site over the balance of fiscal 2013."

Truly heartbroken at the news that Rugby will be no longer. But here are some thoughts to turn that Rugby frown upsidedown... with every closure there's a sale, hopefully a huge sale. So let's wait for it…

Una notizia molto molto triste ho per voi oggi: la linea Rugby by Ralph Lauren verrà definitivamente cancellata.

Non ci posso credere, io amavo RL Rugby, era la mia tappa fissa a NY, un bel - e consistente -  giretto di shopping nel monomarca vicino a Union Square mi dava sempre grandi soddisfazioni!

Bene, è ufficiale, da Febbraio 2013 i 14 negozi WW e il canale online saranno chiusi. La notizia è stata riportata pochi giorni fa da WWD confermando che l’azienda ha intenzione di focalizzarsi su altre opportunità inerenti al core brand RL.

Nel cercare di trovare qualche risvolto positivo a questa notizia, spero in una svendita di “fine attività”, magari sotto Natale – quando sarò a NY – oppure anche online!

Non so... non capisco perché un marchio così “cool”,così preppy e diverso dal solito debba essere cancellato così : mah… i grandi misteri della moda!
