It’s over the battle between Louboutin and YSL for the usage of the super famous red-sole.
If you are not familiar, the French Maison has sued YSL last April 2011 for the improper usage of the red color under the high heel sole.
The Manhattan Court of Appeals has just decided and Louboutin is the winner.
But this is not a real win because – according to the Wall Street Journal - the Court has recognized to Louboutin the own-usage of the red-sole only when shoes and sole colors are in contrast !!!
So not when shoes are red!
What a strange decision…

Christian Louboutin vince contro YSL sull’utilizzo della suola rossa, da sempre segno distintivo delle calzature dello stilista francese. Infatti la Corte d’appello di Manhattan ha dato ragione allo stilista francese che lo scorso aprile 2011 aveva fatto causa a Yves Saint Laurent per presunte violazioni di brevetti legati appunto alle suole rosse delle scarpe da donna con tacco alto.
Si tratta comunque di una mezza vittoria, perché il giudice americano, secondo quanto riportato dal Wall Street Journal, ha riconosciuto a Louboutin la tutela dei diritti, solo se la suola contrasta con il colore del resto della scarpa, quindi non se le scarpe sono tutte rosse.
Che strana decisione direi!
