Fans of Marchesa who can’t afford – LIKE ME – the brand’s glitzy red carpet confections, get excited: a lower priced Marchesa line will be hitting stores soon.
The line is called Marchesa Voyage and it looks pretty much exactly how we’d expect a Marchesa contemporary line to look: Think luxe boho.
“Something [Marchesa's co-founder] Keren [Craig] and I had always wanted to do was more of a loungewear deal–the Marchesa in her palazzo,” designer Georgina Chapman told WWD.
The collection features floaty dresses with original prints, “genie pants,” and some gold brocade looks. Despite the rich prints, it all has a very toss-it-on sensibility. There are (obviously) furs, embellished denim, and pieces embroidered in India. The lineup includes also 45 styles of shoes (we will have a lot of options!).
LF USA produces the line in Asia, and the design duo are still shopping the collection around, so no word yet on when or where it will hit racks. Pieces will have a retail price starting from $300 up to $1,000 (not bad for Marchesa clothes).

Mi ricolgo a tutte voi fan di Marchesa che - come me - non potete permettervi i capi stra-costosi di questo meraviglioso brand da red carpet: è infatti in arrivo sul mercato la "seconda" linea - più economica - del brand!
La linea si chiamerà Voyage Marchesa ed ovviamente conserverà tutte le caratteristiche della contemporanea linea madre (potremmo definire il mood " luxury boho").
La collezione sarà composta da abiti fluttuanti con stampe originali, pantaloni ricamati, sfumature oro e accenni di broccato. Troverete pellicce (ovviamente), denim impreziositi da dettagli meravigliosi, pezzi ricamati in India e per concludere ben 45 modelli di scarpe (avremo un sacco di opzioni!).
La linea sarà realizzata da LF USA in Asia ma al momento non ci sono ancora conferme ufficiali sul lancio in Store. Quello che posso però confermarvi è che i prezzi partiranno da $ 300 fino a $ 1.000 (non male per articoli firmati Marchesa).
Che ve ne pare? Io ne sono già innamorata!
