BRAND NEW: CHARLOTTE SIMONE
There are some brands that become immediately popular: sometimes because they are really super cool, sometimes because it’s the right moment to be into the market or sometimes because a lot of celebrites start wearing them.
Ok, for Charlotte Simone is a mix of these 3 factors.
Catapulted to the attention of many following singer Rita Ora's love for the label's accessories, Charlotte Simone Beecham, just 18 months after conceiving the idea while she was a student at New York University, has more than 120 stockists worldwide and a swelling army of famous fans - from Ora and Olivia Palermo.
Colour, cosiness and texture are very important aspects in her creations.
"The fur textures are one part of what we do, but then I love to try new things, too," Beecham said. "Super-soft cashmere, really chunky knits, woven leather, shearling, silk, lambswool - the pieces have to feel great and the shapes are designed to be easy to wear. Everything from the hood, to the cuff, to the popsicle can be worn in several ways - and I love to see them being styled in different ways by different girls. My mum might wear something that Rita Ora has worn, but in a totally different way - I think that's so cool."
"IT'S definitely not a fur label," designer Charlotte Beecham, of scarf label Charlotte Simone, nodded confidently. "It's hard, because we've become known for fur pieces - like the fur-trimmed hood and the colourful popsicle scarf - but everything also comes in faux fur, nice quality faux fur, that wears well and looks luxurious, is very expensive, and while I understand that some people choose fake fur rather than real as a lifestyle choice, I really didn't want to offer it just as a cheap alternative. It needed to be as beautiful as real fur - and in some styles it actually looks better."
Pieces are affordable and not, but they can be a very fashion alternative as a Xmas gift!
